    • Businesses with an annual turnover above certain thresholds (€37,500 for services, €75,000 for goods) are required to register for VAT.

  • How to Register: Businesses can register for VAT online via ROS or by completing the VAT section of Form TR1 (for individuals, partnerships, or trusts) or Form TR2 (for companies).
  • When to Register: Registration should occur before the business reaches the VAT threshold or when the company starts trading if it opts for voluntary registration.
